Born fourth out of eleven children, iMAYSi held down the alto notes in his early years.  The director, mother to him and his ten siblings, guided them through tight harmonies at home and in the church choir.  Later maturing into the voice you hear, today, he began leading songs in church, while keeping his vocal abilities mostly hidden to the rest of the world.

     "Looking back, it seems this had to be the outcome.  My mom wouldn't let me NOT sing.  Through the years, several people would comment 'You are ALWAYS singing!'  Then, the feeling that I wanted to, and that perhaps I could express my thoughts and feelings through music weighed heavily on me." 

     Until one day, a good friend challenged iMAYSi to "DO IT" and put his singing and song-writing abilities out there to see what happens.  So, iMAYSi started writing songs for himself, other male singers, female singers, and even songs for child artists.  It shocked people who thought they knew him, including himself. 

     "For me, Sun Shine My Way is the word that defines itself.  Its the metaphor that helped me overcome so many years of obstacles to get to the day I could finally say, here it is."
